The Cyber Wing has a fact checking unit which conducts fact checks of certain types of suspicious information which includes:
- Rumours on social media.
- Suspicious communications from law enforcement agencies intending to commit fraud.
- Impersonation of Government functionaries
- Malicoius mobile applications and websites
- Ponzi investment schemes on cyber space
You may request fact checking by Cyber Wing, Meghalaya Police before conducting transactions with unknown persons.
